１月８日は、常盤小学校の54年目の開校記念日です。
新校舎が完成し、授業が開始された日を開校記念日としました。
昭和４６年度、開校時は、児童数 474名、13学級でのスタートでした。
児童数は開校後年々増え続け、昭和56年の1088名30学級が最大値です。（グラフ参照）
昭和51年に制定された校歌の作詞は、当時常盤町在住で、日本作詞家協会理事、NHK「鳩子の海」「源義経」の劇中歌の作詞者、周東啓二先生、作曲は「あざみの歌」「桜貝の歌」の作曲で知られていた八洲秀章先生です。
長い歴史の中で、その時の子供たちや教職員が力一杯取り組み、多くの地域の方々が常盤小学校の発展のためにご尽力くださったお陰で、今の常盤小学校が築かれてきたことに改めて感謝申し上げます。
常盤小学校のよき伝統を受け継ぎ、誇りをもって、さらにすばらしい常盤小学校を築いていく子供たちを育てられるよう、職員一同努めてまいります。これからもお力添えをよろしくお願いいたします。
Fukaya Municipal Tokiwa Elementary School was founded in the year1971 (the 46th year of the Showa Era).
This year marks its 54th anniversary.
The school is located in the eastern metropolitan area of FukayaCity, and it neighbors Fukaya First High School and Hatara Junior High School.
About Tokiwa Elementary School’s History
・Founding: Tokiwa Elementary School was founded in the year 1971 (the 46thyear of the Showa Era)
・50th Anniversary: The school’s 50th anniversary was celebrated in the year 2021.
・52nd Anniversary: January 8th, 2023 marked its 52nd anniversary.
・53rd Anniversary: January 8th, 2024 marked its 53rd anniversary.
・Coordination with thelocal area: Thanks to the support of the PTA, thelocal residents, and other contributors, the school has very enrichingfacilities and educational programs.
・Promotion of Shokuiku（Food and Nutrition Education）: Through the cooperation of universities, the JA Group, and others, efforts are made towards the research of Food and Nutrition Education. Many activities are conducted, such as planting rice by hand and harvesting many kinds of vegetables on the “school farm,” and the education of the local food culture, done by the 4th graders.
